# Update Inbound Number Label

> Update the label shown for one of your inbound phone numbers.

### Headers

**authorization** `string` *required*

Your API key for authentication.

### Body

**phoneNumber** `string` *required*

The inbound phone number whose label you want to update.

Required format: E.164 (for example, `+12223334444`).

**newLabel** `string` *required*

The new label to assign to this inbound number.

Constraints:

* Max length: `150` characters
* Set to an empty string (`""`) to clear the label

### Response

**data** `object`

Success response data.

**data.message** `string`

Success message.

**data.phone\_number** `string`

The inbound phone number that was updated.

**data.label** `string`

The updated label value.

**errors** `null`

Error array (null on success).
