# Update Memory

> Update the name of an existing memory.

### Headers

**authorization** `string` *required*

Your API key for authentication.

### Path Parameters

**memory\_id** `string` *required*

The unique identifier of the memory to update.

### Body Parameters

**name** `string` *required*

The new name for the memory. Cannot be null or undefined.

### Response

**data** `object`

The updated memory object.

**data.id** `string`

Unique identifier for the memory.

**data.name** `string`

Updated name of the memory.

**data.created\_at** `string`

ISO timestamp when the memory was originally created.

**data.user\_id** `string`

Unique identifier for the organization that owns the memory.

**data.memory\_duration** `number`

Currently under development.

**errors** `null`

Error array (null on success).
